Standard Test Method for Determining Fungi Resistance of Insulation Materials and Facings

This test method covers the determination of the ability of new insulation materials and their facings to support fungal growth.
Five different fungi are inoculated to the test samples and under laboratory controlled conditions favorable for the growth of mold, support or ressistance of sample to the fungi is studies over period of 28 days.

Sample Requirements:

Triplicate specimens from each test sample are required.

If the test sample is of different construction on each face, prepare triplicate specimens of each face.

The preferred specimen thickness is 0.75 in. (20 mm).
